Vmware ws 11 błąd: the file specified is not a virtual disk

Dzień dobry,
Używam Win 7 na maszynie wirtualnej VMware Workstation 11. Dla tej maszyny przeznaczyłem oddzielną partycję. Miałem tam zainstalowany Windows 7. Niestety dziś postanowiłem zmniejszyć tę partycję i zmienić jej literę. Po zrestartowaniu komputera otrzymuje taki błąd: "The file specified is not a virtual disk". Ten błąd pojawia się również gdy próbuję kliknąć w ustawieniach "HardDisk..." (obrazek 1)

Wyczytałem sporo na ten temat, głównie, że należy coś zmienić w pliku VMX, niestety nie radzę sobie tym. Czy możecie pomóc mi rozwiązać ten problem i coś doradzić w tej kwestii?
